Melanin is a natural pigment that gives color to skin. Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and aging can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation appears as dark patches and age spots (also known as sun spots) that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 contains Thiamidol, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production. It is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark spots and prevent their re-appearance. First results are visible after two weeks and improve continuously with regular use.
With UVA and UVB filters (SPF 30) the moisturizing day cream offers effective protection from the sun and reduces the chances of skin developing sun-induced pigment spots. Skin appears even and radiant.

Main findings
Among other clinical and dermatological studies, a Product in Use (PIU) study was conducted with 120 women aged between 25 and 551. They reported the following results after firstly two and then four weeks of regular use:

Thiamidol is a Eucerin patented ingredient. Ten years in development, this highly effective active is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark spots and prevent their re-appearance.
Instructions
- Apply in the morning to a well-cleansed face, neck and décolleté
- Gently massage into skin
- Avoid contact with eyes
- For best results, use in combination with Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Night Fluid and Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot corrector.
- Apply each product once a day. Use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day.
Cleanse skin thoroughly with the appropriate Eucerin cleanser. Choose from:
- Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Cleansing Gel (for normal to combination skin)
- Eucerin DematoCLEAN Mild Cleansing Milk (for dry skin).
Apply a toner such as Eucerin DematoCLEAN Clarifying Toner (for all skin types) to prepare skin for your care products.
Moisturize skin with Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 in the morning and Eucerin Anti-Pigment Night in the evening.
For best results apply Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector before your moisturizer. Use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day.
