BB cream refers to Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm Cream. It is a base makeup product which is supposed to hide your blemishes and create a light to medium coverage for your base makeup. It’s a versatile combination of products such as foundation, SPF, moisturiser, primer, skin treatment, and concealer.
This product is normally lighter than foundation.
Blemish balm cream helps you to even the uneven skin tone and hide the blemishes. BB creams also contain SPF which gives you sun protection. It doesn’t have a higher range of shades but it normally matches all the skin tones.
Texture of BB Cream
BB creams are generally creamy in texture and we can blend it with a brush, beauty blender even with our hands. The lightweight and adjustable coverage of this Cream gives you a natural finish. It can hold well the rest of the makeup products just like foundation.
BB cream was first introduced in K-Beauty, Korea. Korean women used BB Cream as an alternative to foundation. BB creams are best for teenagers because they cannot hide the signs of ageing.
It is also very easy to blend but doesn’t last long like foundations do.
