The Best Anti-Aging Skin Care Routine You Need to Follow
One day you look fine and radiant, and then one random morning, you notice a little sag around the outer corner of your eye, or on the forehead. And, bam! The terrible “aging” process has started. Like it or not, the aging process can take a toll on the body and the mind. And while we can’t give you the fountain of youth, we can suggest a wonderful anti-aging skin care routine that will help you age gracefully.
Sanitize Your Face
You might call it “washing”, but I prefer to say “sanitizing”. When you sanitize your face with water and a gentle cleanser, all the dirt and bacteria get out from your skin, leaving a clean, dirt-free face. Sanitizing your face should be the first step of your skin care routine. If you don’t purify your skin properly before putting on other skin care products, you’ll do more harm than good to yourself. The clogged bacteria will hold root and cause acne, pimples, and other skin hazards. So, remember folks, first sanitize, and then step on to the next procedure.

Balance Your Skin’s pH with Toner
Cleansing leaves the skin bare and sensitive. It’s the perfect time to balance the pH of your face with some toner. Toner helps to clean up the residue of dirt, dead skin cells, and other things that you couldn’t clean with your cleanser. Not only that, toner helps to close the open pores that are susceptible to clogging. So, at the end of the toning process, your skin looks fresh and calm.
Be sure to use a non-alcoholic toner. Your toner should have moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, and glycerin. Glycerin is amazing at moisturizing the skin, and hyaluronic acid acts as a great humectant by pulling and retaining moisture from the environment.

Moisturize Your Face
By now, you know how important it is to moisturize your skin. Our environment can be unforgiving to our skin, leaving you with a dry and patchy face, especially if you have aging skin. As we age, our skin loses elasticity and becomes prone to dryness and itchiness. If you don’t hydrate your skin properly, wrinkles and other signs of premature aging will show on the skin.
It’s important to use an anti-aging moisturizer as part of your anti-aging skin care routine that can lock the moisture and act as a skin barrier to protect it from external harshness.

And the Eyes!
Of course, don’t forget to hydrate your eyes either. The skin around our eyes is the most sensitive part of the face. Add that to sleepless nights and stress, and aging, it’s no surprise that the skin around our eyes is the first to show the signs of aging. Look for ingredients like peptide, vitamin C, and retinol – a form of vitamin A while choosing your eye cream. Peptide is an amino acid that helps to produce collagen which improves elasticity and firmness. Collagen production in our body diminishes as grow older, and that’s why our skin sags with age.
Remember to apply your anti-aging eye cream gently. Avoid pulling or rubbing on the delicate area of your eyes. Instead, use a gentle patting motion to get the best result.

Use Sun Protection
Sun and skin don’t go well together. But that doesn’t mean you have to hide in your house whenever the sun is up. On second thought, it is best to avoid outdoor activities when the sun is spreading its harmful UV rays. However, for everyday activities, you need to use sunscreen with a well-balanced SPF. Pay special attention to the forehead, and nose areas while applying sunscreen. And don’t wait to go out to put on the sun protection. Apply your sunscreen before you leave your home. Sunscreen is the Holy Grail to aging skin, as it reduces the appearance of wrinkles and age spots or sunspots.
Don’t forget to put sunscreen on your other bare skin areas such as the neck, clavicles, and the back of your hands.

Use a Night Cream
The anti-aging skin care routine doesn’t stop at sunscreen. You would want to pamper your skin at nighttime as well if you want a smooth and plump face. In fact, using an anti-aging night cream before going to bed is best because that’s the time when your face is the most relaxed. So, it helps to soak all the goodness of the product and gives you a glowing, soft face in the morning.

Live Happily
Studies show that living a stress-free, happy life leads to aging a lot more gracefully than living in stress and negativity. So, put on your happy shoes and live life on a positive note as part of your anti-aging skin care routine. And get regular sleep, your skin will thank you.
